Timothy Smith, Events and Adventures Director

I joined Tenfold Senior Living more than a year ago and have had the opportunity to work on the Events & Adventures team in both communities. I have a M.A. in History (Historic Preservation) and bring a diverse professional background to my position. I worked as a professional architectural historian for 19 years, researching and documenting historic buildings, bridges, and roadways across 32 states. I have also owned my own floral design business and worked in several museums where I created exhibits, gave tours, and managed their archives. In addition, I have experience in the hospitality and travel industry through my work with Marriott Hotels and my training at the International Guide Academy in Denver, where I earned certification in Tour Management. I enjoy combining my passion for people, creativity, exploration, and lifelong learning to create meaningful experiences for our residents.

“I’ve learned a lot by spending time and getting to know our residents! I’ve been inspired by their energy, curiosity, and willingness to try new things and it’s changed by perspective on what aging looks like. It’s amazing how much control we have over our quality of life through a positive outlook, remaining physically and mentally active, being in community with others, and remaining open to new experiences. Imagine making new friends at age 90! Getting older can mean new beginnings and exciting new chapters in life.”
