Events &
Adventures
Our program activities range from everyday enjoyment to once-in-a-lifetime bucket list items.
The Events and Adventures team constantly surprises and delights our residents. Their can-do spirit means they don’t think about boundaries, leading to some truly unexpected results (like grandmas in bikinis)! Instead, they focus on activities that residents, their children and their grandchildren can all enjoy.
Aerospace Museum of California
Our residents embarked on a guided tour of the Aerospace Museum of California.
Wandering the museum allowed past and present to converge. One Harbor resident recalled his flying many of the planes on display. As they toured the museum, another resident, a pilot in the Korean War, told stories of his service to his wife—stories he’d never shared before.
Paint and Sip
Our monthly Paint and Sip is a favorite at Bruceville Point.
Inviting our larger community of Care Partners, families, and residents made for an especially memorable event. Forging strong relationships is vital to our community, and painting allowed us to shed our traditional roles. We connected simply as humans creating art together.
Auburn Park
Tony, our Fitness Director, enjoyed meandering through local Auburn Park on a sunny afternoon with several residents.
Many found the outing nostalgic, as the park had been the site of prior picnics and fun gatherings with families and friends. It also brought out everyone’s inner child!
