Sometimes the best adventures come with a change of plans! When the day takes an unexpected turn, we simply pivot, find somewhere new, and make an adventure out of it.
This particular detour brought us to Husicks Taphouse in Clarksburg, CA, where we slowed down for phenomenal food, even better company, and a little something to sip… old-fashioned Coca-Cola and root beer straight from a glass bottle, a surprisingly tall/thin shaped Diet Coke, and a glass of wine or two with a cocktail mixed in for good measure.
Not quite where we thought the road would take us, but sometimes that’s half the fun. Here’s to going with the flow, trying somewhere new, and enjoying wherever the day happens to lead us!

A lightbulb moment (literally) brought Jack to Bruceville Point. While standing on a six-foot ladder, leaning over a railing to change a lightbulb, he suddenly realized that caring for a large, two-story house was becoming a burden.
