Meg Cortez, Community Relations Director

Meg joined the senior living industry in the spring of 2018 as a Business Office Manager. Shortly thereafter, she earned her RCFE and Administrator licenses and was selected for the EDIT Program, where she also served as a mentor.
In the spring of 2021, Meg was promoted to Executive Director at The Commons at Elk Grove, where she also acted as the Sales Leader. In this role, she guided the sales team, significantly increasing average daily occupancy and successfully growing census from the low 70% range to 100%.

Through her years of working with seniors, Meggin has learned that when residents are properly placed, engaged, and active, their quality of life and happiness dramatically improve. She strongly believes that seniors are far more capable than they are often perceived to be.

“Purpose and pleasure are essential at every stage of life. I’ve witnessed firsthand
the incredible things older adults continue to accomplish. From 90-year-olds skydiving, swimming with sharks, zip lining, and racing go-karts, I know that thoughtful programming and a belief in ageless exploration can redefine what aging looks like.”
Meg is a passionate advocate for the idea that generations are better together and that aging should be embraced without limits.
