Carnival Fun Invites Celebration
Bruceville Point hosted their third annual Carnival in April. Cloudy skies and cooler temps couldn’t dampen the joyful atmosphere as residents, care partners, and families enjoyed the petting zoo (complete with a donkey and cow), face painting, ring toss, ax throwing, and, of course, a delectable menu.
“There was something for everyone,” Jaime Cervantes, the Events and Adventures Director, said of the Carnival. The wafting scent of corn dogs, bacon-wrapped corn on the cob, fried pickles, seasoned potato wedges, loaded waffle fries with chicken tinga, nacho cheese, crema and pickled onions, to mention just a few of the items, drew many residents to join the fun.
Others came for the games, the thrill of dunking Eric, the Executive Director, or simply visiting with friends and family. (Eric was spared this year—we like him too much to have subjected him to the dunk tank in the cool weather!) Everyone enjoyed the face painting, commenting on how it made them feel like a kid again.
Residents of Harbor Memory Care joined the festivities, especially enjoying the petting zoo and mouth-watering treats.
Life is short. Celebrate often!
